Pobreza y bienestar personal en padres y madres. Una revisión de literatura

Resumen 

El objetivo de esta revisión fue sintetizar los principales resultados e identificar los
vacíos existentes en la investigación publicada en los últimos 5 años, sobre la relación entre
pobreza multidimensional y bienestar personal en padres y madres. Se extrajo información de
revistas indexadas en las bases de datos Web of Science (WOS), Scopus y Scientific
Electronic Library Online (SciELO), se consideraron aquellos estudios publicados entre los
años 2015-2019. Los resultados se resumen en que el bajo nivel educacional, el desempleo o
la baja calidad de los empleos, los ingresos bajos y las dificultades financieras, la
inestabilidad de acceso a la vivienda, la inseguridad alimentaria, la violencia de pareja, la
inseguridad de los barrios, la limitación de proporcionar actividades extracurriculares a los
hijos/as y las responsabilidades y exigencias de la crianza, afectan el bienestar de las madres
y los padres, emergiendo el apoyo social como una variable protectora.

Abstract

The objective of this review was to synthesize the main results and identify the gaps
identified in the research published in the last 5 years, on the relationship between
multidimensional poverty and personal well-being in fathers and mothers. Information was
extracted from journals indexed in the Web of Science (WOS), Scopus and Scientific
Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases, those studies published between the years
2015-2019 were considered. The results are summarized in the low educational level,
unemployment or the low quality of jobs, low incomes and financial difficulties, instability of
access to housing, food insecurity, intimate partner violence, and insecurity of
neighborhoods, the limitation of providing extracurricular activities to children and the
responsibilities and demands of parenting, affect the well-being of fathers and mothers.
Social support is a protective factor.
